A digital invitation marketplace — browse, buy, and send personalized event invitations.
The Problem
In Cambodia, physical wedding and birthday invitations are expensive and time-consuming to distribute. Many people wanted digital alternatives but available tools were either too complex (Canva) or too generic (basic e-card sites). There was no marketplace specifically for Cambodian-style event invitations.
The Approach
Created a template marketplace where users can browse culturally relevant invitation designs, purchase them, customize with their event details, and share a unique invitation link with guests. Built a guest management system so hosts can track RSVPs and manage their guest list.
Key Challenges
Template rendering was the hardest part — each template needed to be customizable (names, dates, venues, photos) while maintaining the designer's intended layout across different screen sizes. I built a template engine that separates structure from content, allowing designers to create templates without writing code.

Next.js
Each invitation gets a unique shareable URL — SSR ensures fast loading and proper social media previews when shared on Facebook/Telegram.
TypeScript
Template rendering engine requires strict typing to prevent layout-breaking data mismatches.
Tailwind CSS
Consistent styling across the marketplace UI while keeping template styles isolated.
The Result
Live and serving users for wedding and birthday invitations. Reduced invitation costs for users compared to traditional printed invitations. Growing template library with culturally relevant Cambodian designs.
